Portraiture, social media

I don’t have any new work to share.  The last half of December was dominated by the Holidays, then there was the back-to-work rush, and now I am getting caught up on printing various projects from 2016.

When I do get caught up on printing, and return to making new work, my one driving goal will be to create work that is simple and deliberate.  Preparation for this, in part, will involve withdrawing from all social media with the exception of this blog and Instagram.  Ello and Tumblr will be gone.  It all seems like a chore, posting work into a semi-anonymous vacuum for reasons I don’t quite understand.  It makes me feel like a cog in some elaborate machine that lacks any discernable purpose, perpetuating motion yet never going anywhere.

I am a film photographer based in Prince Edward County. I make images of people, places, and things - you know, nouns.
